Velva Area Voice

But Peoples State Bank of Velva has bucked the odds, and this summer, celebrates its 100th year of service to the surrounding area.
All under the guidance of one family, now in its fourth generation.
Richard Beall, president of the bank, and his wife, Linda, who is the vice president, were thrilled when their son Rick returned home and joined the staff.
“We didn’t expect him to come back, so when he did, we were pretty excited,” Richard said. “He has a lot of good ideas and now we’ll be able to step back some and leave it in Rick’s hands.”
